Girls only courses
Girls only English language courses are offered by Heathfield School only. The courses are for girls, aged 8-17 years, who will enjoy a very full programme of English lessons, excursions, activities and sports.
The course is regularly inspected by the British Council and Heathfield is accredited as a centre for the teaching of English as a Second Language.
Each year we welcome girls from over 20 different countries. Many students return for three, four or even five summers. Some go on to become student assistants, a few of whom have been with us for over 10 years!

Students enjoy a well-balanced programme which comprises 20 English lessons per week in the mornings and an exciting range of sports and activities in the afternoons and evenings. Heathfield promotes the learning of English both in and out of the classroom. The twenty lessons per week are integrated with a social programme offering many language-based activities. For the juniors there are several sessions with the British summer camp girls in the afternoon and everyone has a chance to practise English together during evening and weekend activities.
Three weekly excursions are included in the course. To help girls settle in and make friends, they are all assigned, on arrival, to a House - a group of girls of different nationalities and ages. Together they put on dance and drama shows or take part in inter-House sports competitions; these events are extremely popular and help girls to mix with each other.
"Heathfield is part of my way of life; this is my 7th year. I meet my friends every year and my friend Eve has visited me in Japan and I have visited her in France. I also like England in the summer and my life here is quite different from in Japan so every summer I come back to a sort of dream!"
