Terms & Conditions
The British Association of Boarding School Short Courses (“BABSSCo”) is a trading
name of Harrow School Enterprises Limited registered in England company number 1617359. Harrow
School Enterprises Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harrow School (“The School”),
registered charity number 310033.
Enrolment
Places on each course are strictly limited and you are advised to apply as early as possible.
An enrolment is not valid until it has been confirmed in writing by us and the deposit has
been received. Payment in full must be received by BABSSCo by 6 June 2008. If payment is not
received by this date, BABSSCo reserves the right to cancel the student’s place on the
course. If the registration is accepted fewer than 6 weeks before the start of the course,
full payment must be made at this time. Once the full fee has been received, students are sent
further course details. Please note that the initial deposit is part of the full fee, not an
additional cost.
Cancellation
Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel your course (see Liability and Insurance
section). If you cancel more than 6 weeks before the start of your course, your full fees will
be returned to you less the deposit. (You may also be able to claim on the insurance policy
for this.) Many circumstances are also covered by the insurance policy if you cancel fewer
than 6 weeks before the start of your course. Details are available on request. Cancellation
or curtailment claims will have to be supported by documented proof.
Airport Transfers
Students with airport transfers are accepted on the course only if they are in possession of
a valid return ticket made out and completed with a time and date. It is not acceptable to
arrive with an “open” (undated) ticket. BABSSCo cannot accept responsibility for
booking return tickets.

Airport transfers (as above) are included in the course fee except where students cannot obtain a plane ticket for the correct arrival or departure date or airport for their course. In this case, they will be charged for any extra transfer and accommodation expenses we incur. We cannot guarantee to accept such bookings, but we do so where possible.
It is essential that BABSSCo is kept informed of any changes to the student's travel arrangements. Students must not assume that BABSSCo has received details of changes until they are acknowledged by us in writing. NB We ALWAYS confirm travel details.
Students are liable for any excess baggage and UM charges. BABSSCo does not pay excess baggage charges on the student's behalf. Please check at the time of booking the airline's arrangements for the payment of airport departure tax, or any other charges.
Visitors to the Course
Any relative or friend who wants to take a student out during the course must have the permission
of the Course Director or his or her delegate. The parent/guardian of the student must sign
a form before permission can be given.
Student Visas
Student visas may be required from some countries. At the time of application, BABSSCo provides
the necessary letter of acceptance, and visa support letter if applicable. If a visa application
is refused, BABSSCo will refund the full fees, less the deposit, upon receipt of the original documentation issued by the Entry Clearance Officer.
Liability
BABSSCo and The School have public liability insurance. Any liability of BABSSCo or of The
School to the student or parent or guardian, in respect of which BABSSCo or The School has
insurance cover, shall be limited to the amount of such cover and any such liability in respect
of which BABSSCo or The School does not have insurance cover shall be limited to the aggregate
amount of fees paid in respect of the student. Nothing in these terms and conditions, however,
shall operate to exclude any liability of BABSSCo or The School for personal injury or death
caused by negligence of BABSSCo or The School or their respective servants and agents. It shall
be a condition of the contract between BABSSCo, The School and the student or his or her parent
or guardian, that BABSSCo and The School shall not, in any way, be liable to the student or
the parent or guardian in the event that any service contracted to be supplied by BABSSCo or
The School becomes impossible to supply due to reasons outside their control.
Insurance
